Weapons and Tools
All weapons, tools and items in the game come in two distinct flavors:
Minor Items
- Simple, nondescript items that don’t give any kind of bonuses but are a necessary part of a task or character. They usually come in groups of items called Kits.
- Kits are just a genre of items, with the judge's discretion, unlisted items can be included in kits on the fly.
- Characters can normally carry 2 kits before they receive the Encumbered Trait as a Flaw.
- Minor items do not confer any kind of bonuses. They are such a basic part of a process that if you need them, it does not make a situation easier, simply possible.
- Any bonuses that they would confer are strictly a Judge’s call, however, it is the norm to not receive any.

Major Items
- Personal items that bear a special meaning to the character and are tied with their history.
- All major items have Personality and a trait that can confer a bonus draw.
- Personality is a one or two sentence description that gives the object personal context and explains why it is special.
Trivial Items
When an item is too unimportant to be considered useful, but still adds to the narrative, they are considered Trivial Items. Things, like a pack of cigarettes, a deck of cards, toothpicks, or goggles are all Trivial Items. They can be recorded and kept for panache and style without penalty.
